Tom's Cancer Treatments

Donation protected

Loving husband, dedicated father, caring son, and loyal friend, Tom has always been there for others and now he needs help. He has Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Large B-Cell Lymphoma (blood cancer) that has spread to his bones, abdomen, arms, neck, spleen, colon, and is now moving into his bone marrow.

He's just completed 10 rounds of radiation and he's in the process of going through 6 rounds of R-CHOP chemotherapy two weeks apart for the Lymphoma with an additional two blasts of a different type of chemo for the small cells in the bone marrow one month apart at the end before we re-evaluate.

At this given time, Tom is unable to work on doctor's orders (but he's not feeling well enough to even if he had the doctor's blessing) and he's losing more weight (and his hair due to the chemo) but he's in very good spirits.

Our parents are responsible for a $3,000 deductible and co-pays up to $13,000 with the cycle starting over midway though 2018. With each doctor, treatment, or hospital visit, they are required to pay a co-payment.

We're hoping and praying that Tom will get through this set of chemotherapy treatments and will not need more, but the doctors will re-evaluate after the last scheduled treatment.

With all of these big life changes and expenses, we (their daughters- Katie and Susie) want to do everything we can to help them.

Our dad is hilarious. He is also extremely hard working. He has a servant's heart and is always looking for ways to help other people. He puts everyone else's needs above his own. Our mom has been the epitome of the perfect wife, care taker, and support system for him.

Tom has done so much through his life so far. He has been a volunteer fireman, a police officer, and a constable, faithfully serving his community. He has also been very involved in our church, including leading Jr. Church, being an usher, and running VBS each summer.

We know many of you have asked how you can help and so we created this page to give you the opportunity not only to help us through continued prayers and well wishes, but also finanically if you feel so led. Our dad doesn't actually know we're doing this- if it were up to him, he wouldn't have told anyone because he doesn't like people to make a fuss over him, but it would really mean a lot to us to have your support.

If you can't donate, we would love a phone call from his friends and family. We also appreciate your prayers!

If you can donate, we love and appreciate you so much. Our parents have always been the most caring, giving people and we appreciate everyone who can pull together to help our parents out in their time of need.

This has truly been one of the hardest seasons for our family. Tom is so strong and we are so thankful that he has a wonderful team of doctors helping him get better.

Thank you for supporting Tom and Debbie through this time in their lives. Tom is a shining example of how to make the best of a difficult situation. He hasn't complained once and we know he's been in so much pain. Tom is a complete inspiration and you are just as inspirational to us for helping. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

P.S. We would love for you to share Tom's story with your friends and family!
