Tommy Ward 30 mile walk

Tommy who is a professional Boxer from West Rainton in County
Durham has dedicated a lot of his time during the COVID-19 pandemic to supporting his local community. Tommy has so far donated a
phenomenal amount of food to Durham Area Youth and other charities to support families that are unable to go out due to isolation. 

Tommy is used to a vigorous training program and is currently unable
to train to the extend he normally does, he has set himself a challenge
to help raise money for the NHS and local community  charities with the support of Durham Area Youth.

on Sunday 3rd May 2020, Tommy will be walking from Stanhope which is located on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland to West Rainton. This is approximately 30 miles. 

Tommy has chosen to do this walk in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as many frontline workers spend all their working days on their feet in this equipment for a minimum of 10 hours a day.
