I am Thomas Streutgers (Tommy Tornado), saxophonist. I am currently recording my 3rd solo reggae album “Back On Track” together with the German band The Clerks.
Making a recording is a pricey business, especially if you want the job done properly. Which is why I am asking for your support to help me cover the costs.
Expenses include:
– the studio recording
– mixing the tracks
– mastering the recording
– artwork design
– promoting the album.
BACK ON TRACK & THE CLERKS
After two, by the press and public, very well recieved solo albums (Sunrise in 2009 and Cool Down in 2011) and tours of, amongst others, the Netherlands (Zwarte Cross Festival, Jazz In Duketown, Haarlem Jazz Festival), Belgium (Vivalola Festival, Gentse Feesten, Afro-Latino Festival), Spain (Rototom Sunsplash Festival), France, Italy and Germany (Freedom Sounds Festival, Riverstomp Festival) I decided it was time to make a new record, this time with The Clerks.
The Clerks are a great band from Cologne who I got to know when they performed as my backing group at the Freedom Sounds Festival in Cologne. We hit it off right away and quickly agreed to make a CD together.

Ik ben Thomas Streutgers (Tommy Tornado) saxofonist , ik ben momenteel bezig aan de opnames van mn 3e solo reggae album “Back On Track” samen met de Duitse band The Clerks.
Bij opnames komen altijd behoorlijk wat kosten kijken, helemaal als je het goed wilt doen, daarom wil ik vragen om samen met jullie steun deze kosten te dekken,
De kosten bestaan oa. uit:
- de opnames in de studio
- de plaat te laten mixen
- laten masteren van de opnames
- het artwork ervoor te laten ontwerpen

Na 2 zeer goed door de pers en publiek ontvangen solo albums (Sunrise in 2009 en Cool Down in 2011) en tournee’s door oa Nederland (Zwarte Cross Festival , Jazz In Duketown, Haarlems Jazzfestival) , Belgie (Vivalola Festival, Gentse Feesten, Afro Latino Festival), Spanje (Rototom Sunsplash Festival), Frankrijk , Italië en Duitsland (o.a. Freedom Sounds Festival, Riverstomp Festival) vond ik het tijd voor de opnames van een nieuwe plaat, deze keer met de Duitse band The Clerks!
The Clerks is een te gekke band uit Keulen die ik heb leren kennen tijdens een optreden op het Freedom Sounds festival in Keulen waar ze de begeleidingsband voor me waren, het klikte zo dat we al snel besloten om samen een cd te gaan maken!

Ich bin der Saxofonist Thomas Streutgers, auch bekannt unter dem Kuenstleramen ’Tommy Tornado’. Zur Zeit produziere ich gerade mein drittes Solo Album ’Back on Track’ zusammen mit der Deutschen Band ’The Clerks’.
Eine Platte zu produzieren kostet viel Geld, besonders dann, wenn man es gut machen will, und deshalb moechte ich Euch um eure Unterstuetzung bitte, die folgenden Kosten zu decken.
Die Kosten bestehen unter anderem aus:
- Die Aufnahmen im Studio
- Das Mischen der Platte
- Das Mastern der Aufnahmen
- Das Entwerfen des Artworks fuer die Platte

BACK ON TRACK & THE CLERKS
Meine beiden ersten Solo Alben ’Sunrise’ (2009) und ’Cool Down’ (2011) sind beide sehr gut bei der Presse und beim Publikum angekommen.
Ihnen folgten jeweils zahlreiche Tourneen und Auftritte, unter anderem in Holland (Zwarte Cross Festival, Jazz in Duektown, Haarlems Jazzfestival), Belgien (Vivalola Festival, Gentse Feesten, Afro Latino Festival), Spanien (Rototom Sunsplash Festival), Frankreich, Italien und Deutschland (unter anderem Riverstomp Festival und Freedom Sounds Festival).
Nach all diesen Konzerten im In- und Ausland, fand ich es mal wieder an der Zeit, ein neues Album aufzunehmen. Diesmal zusammen mit der Deutschen Band ’The Clerks’.
’The Clerks’ sind eine super Ska Band aus Koeln, die ich beim ’Freedom Sound Festival’ in Koeln kennenlernte, wo sie mich als Begleitband unterstuetzten. Zwischen mir und den Clerks ’klickte’ es sofort, so dass wir schnell beschlossen, eine neue CD zusammen zu machen.
