Tommy Runge

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear Uncle, Tommy Runge. 

Taken too soon from us, he is survived by his loving wife Susan (Plummer), two beautiful children Colleen and Tommy Jr., his siblings Linda, Wilbur, Robert, Billy, Susan, Lori, and Tracy, an army of nieces and nephews, countless friends, and of course his furry sidekick Barney.  Tom is at rest with his parents Wilbur and Helen (Moritz), and sister Deborah.

On December 11th Tom was admitted to the hospital for heart complications. He was soon transferred to another hospital after it was determined more serious measures needed to be taken. He underwent a handful of surgeries and spent over 20 days in the ICU. On December 30th at 1:33am he passed away. Anyone who knew Tom understands how truly heartbreaking and devastating this is for his family and the people who were closest to him. 

He was a bright light who was beloved by all who were lucky enough to know him. Tom was a loving, caring, and generous man. He would give you the shirt off his back. In true Tommy style, he lived this selfless trait up until his last breath by donating his kidneys, saving not 1, but 2 lives! His amazing family (Sue Colleen & Tommy JR.) continue to be living representations of these traits.

Services for Tom Runge

Time: 2-4pm on Saturday, January 9th

Location: Moritz Funeral Home, Closter, NJ. 

 

A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date.
