Tommy Elis Langdon ❤️
I’m running in memory of my nephew Tommy Elis Langdon.
Tommy was born prematurely at 30+1 in July 2022 after a difficult pregnancy. He first developed Hydrocephalus after suffering a catastrophic brain bleed when he was a few days old. He had his first operation at 2 weeks old to have a reservoir inserted but this had to be removed in March 2023 when Tommy developed meningitis. His hydrocephalus became worse and he had a shunt fitted in June 2023. Sadly Tommy passed away on 14th August 2023.
I would like to raise awareness of hydrocephalus by raising money for Harry's Hydrocephalus Awareness (Harry's Hat) every donation will help support a charity that means so much to me and my family.
Hydrocephalus affects 1 in every 770 babies born today. Harry's Hat aim to make life better for children with hydrocephalus and the families who love and care for them.
They do this through: raising awareness, funding front-line workers including nurses to undertake training so they can improve patient care and providing support to families who are directly affected by the condition.
