Hurricane Harvey Destroys Home of Make-A-Wish Co-Founder, Tommy Austin
** We kindly ask that you keep this fundraising effort confidential from Tommy as we, Make-A-Wish America, would like to present this award to him at the Make-A-Wish annual conference in October. This is a personal fundraiser; please do not share on social media.
A natural disaster may not truly "hit home" until it hits the home of a dear friend. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, we in the Make-A-Wish community were distressed to learn that the home of Make-A-Wish Co-Founder, Tommy Austin, was destroyed due to the severe flooding that has occurred in the Houston area.
After all the amazing work Tommy Austin has done for the Make-A-Wish community in helping make many wishes come true, this is our opportunity to say thank you and help grant a wish for him. While we unfortunately can't bring back Tommy's home, we can help him begin to rebuild and restore his life.

Bio: Tommy Austin was doing undercover drug enforcement work for U. S. Customs in Phoenix when he met Chris Greicius who became the recipient of the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish. This encounter changed Tommy's life and has since changed the lives of over 300,000 kids across the United States.
