My dear friend and his family lost their home to a fire that took from them everything but the clothes they were wearing at the time of this tragedy. Thanks to heaven no one was injured, yet their hearts were broken but not their spirit. Just days before Christmas Tommy and his lovely family are asking only for prayers. Prayers can be a blessing unto themselves however empath, compassion, understanding and words of sympathy although lovingly accepted and deeply appreciated their heart break will remains long after the joy of the holidays fade. I've known Tommy since we were young men and I can't in any way imagine how hopeless and how hard it must be to hold back your emotion and the river of tears he holds in silent reserve to preserve the resilience that a father should portray during a time such as this when they should be celebrating love, joy, happiness and the feeling of opening a home that friends and loved ones can come to share in during this season of selfless compation.
Please help me let them know that there are still kind people in this world, like themselves, that value love and compassion for others in their most despite hour of need and above all else as they do. If this were a neighbor's nightmare Tommy and his selfless family would be there for them even if they had nothing more to offer than a warm blanket in the form of a loving embrace.
Please help me show my friend that the world really is a kind loving and gentle place where human beings still work together to create heaven on Earth for us all.
