Tomcat's Surgery and Wipe Out Fund

On May 13th, Tom's 33rd birthday, he was in a motor vehicle accident on a motorized scooter. He was found unconscious in the street and was rushed to the local trauma ER.
He obtained a TBI (traumatic brain injury) with a large hematoma on the side of his head, a snapped in half clavicle, road rash head to toe, and all the rough symptoms of head injuries afterwards.
He was told that he will not be able to heal his arm and shoulder without surgery and his head injury will keep him out of work for an unknown amount of time.
Tom is a Marine Combat Veteran and only has a limited amount of insurance through the VA. As the bills stack up, the surgery looms over our head, and he continues to be on bedrest and unable to work, we are beginning to realize that we can't do this on our own financially.
Nobody ever wants to be the one to ask for help, but we also know we are surrounded with some of the most loving people this world has to offer and they have been telling us they want to take part of our burden from us. When dear friends of ours urged us to begin a Go-Fund-Me, we decided to take the advice and the help and begin this journey of recovery with all of you by our side. How humbling life can be in a short span of 24 hours.
We aren't ones to ask for help. But if your heart is urging you to give to our family, please do so here and know how overwhelmingly thankful we are for you and how you give. Tom is the most loving partner and dad I have ever known and he deserves every bit of help we can give him.
