I never thought I would be asking for help. My husband Tom is my world and I would do anything for him. In October 2019,  he went to an urgent care and thought he had bronchitis. He wasn’t getting any better so he went to the doctor and a CT scan showed he had double pneumonia. The doctor admitted him into the hospital November 21, 2019.. Next day our hearts were broken. The oncologist came in and said his blood work showed possible CANCER! AML leukemia. Tom got a bone marrow biopsy the following Monday and on Tuesday it was confirmed he had Leukemia!! The doctor said go home and be with your family through the Thanksgiving  holiday then come back on Monday, December 2 and you will be in the hospital for 30 days getting heavy doses of Chemotherapy. During this treatment, his bone marrow was completely depleted and had to rebuild again. I stayed with my husband the whole 30 days in the hospital while he went through his induction then recovery.  After another bone marrow biopsy, we were referred to a specialist at Lutheran General. Further testing determined chemo was not enough and he has to get a stem cell transplant a.k.a. bone marrow transplant in March. He has not worked since November.  I also took a leave of absence from work. The recovery from a stem cell transplant is brutal. It will require 24 hour around the clock care. which means I won’t be able to work. We are asking for help with medical and expenses to care for my husband. If you could spare $5.00 or $10.00 each and share our story to your friends and family we would greatly appreciated it.
To all my friends and family on Facebook please share this go fund me page.

Tom is the hardest working man I know. We have been married for 28 years, raised six children and have 15 grandchildren.  He has never put himself 1st before anyone.  He has always helped friends and family without asking for anything in return.  Again, we never thought we would’ve asking for help but we do need help to get my husband through his transplant and follow-up care. Whatever you can spare will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
