Tom Dawson medical expenses

To start off, we want to thank you for visiting our page. We are asking for donations on behalf of our mom, Trish Dawson, to help her with immense medical bills from the care of my dad for the past several years.

Our dad, Tom Dawson, loved us with all of his heart and made sure we were provided with what we needed.  He provided us with lots of knowledge, good advice, endless laughs, unforgettable memories and unconditional love.  Due to his illness, he was not able to work to provide for us financially as we know he wanted.  Our dad's fragile health condition forced our mom to become the main bread winner of the family. Our mom was the full-time care giver for our dad. It was a 24 hours a day, seven days a week job for nearly 32 years.  Because of this, she was only able to work part-time as a secretary at the University of Michigan.  Somehow our mom managed to provide for a family of 5 on this part-time income along with Dad's disability income.  With the ever increasing doctor appointments with $30 copays, surgeries, hospital stays, copays for medications, the medical expenses quickly far surpassed their monthly income.  On top of the doctor appointments and medications, there were a lot of durable medical items necessary for dad's care that his health insurance didn't cover (wheelchairs, handicap toilet, shower chair, bed rail, walker, personal hygiene products for dad, bandages, etc.) All of this has left mom $20,000 in debt and in a financial situation she cannot recover from without help.  Without help, our mom will not be able to make it financially with this insurmountable debt from keeping my dad alive.  Dad passed away on September 9, 2019 in the loving arms of Mom.
