Toluca Titan's Cooperstown Trip

 Dear Family/Friends, 

The Toluca Titans (comprised of Drury Callahan, Alex Fischer, Charlie Greenleaf, Hudson Karczynski, Aiden Levin, Boaz Maydew, Peyton Slaughter, Enzo Tachiki-Jones, Dylan Bryan, Sean Sims and Evan Yoon) have been granted an amazing opportunity! We have received an invitation to play in THE national baseball tournament in Cooperstown, New York. For the uninitiated, Cooperstown is the birthplace of baseball and is home to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Each year teams all across America vie to play in this tournament and only a select few get an invite.

While in Cooperstown, we will participate in a weeklong competitive tournament against 104 teams from every part of the United States. This is an exciting challege. We look forward to playing against other 12 year olds across the country! For our supporters who cannot make it to Cooperstown, Titans games will be live-streamed.

Most importantly, we will have fun outside of baseball! In addition to playing together on the field, we will sleep in barracks together, we will torment our coaches together, we will play football on the open fields together, we will eat together, we will watch other teams together, we will have other activities in “town” together and we will have a lifelong set of memories together.

One of the highlights of the trip will be going to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. We will get a close look at those who played the game before us. We will also be inducted into the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and get a ring! This is an experience of a lifetime!

To help offset some of the expense of this costly trip, we are doing a lot of fundraising. We are working hard every week at snack stands and we are organizing other fundraising events. All money raised will help pay for tournament fees/activities, travel expenses, food and lodging.
