Token Elizabeth Tankersley, age 43 of Snellville, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lola & Doug Singleton; and father-in-law, Chuck Tankersley. She is survived by her husband, Dan Tankersley; son, Spencer Tankersley; mother, Penny Tillman; father, Jim Tillman & Cynthia Tillman; adopted sister, Jennifer Tillman; grandparents, Jim Tillman, Sr. & Sharon Tillman; aunts, Kay, Stephanie, Tammy, and Teresa; mother-in-law, Lou Tankersley; brother-in-law, Charles & Cathy Tankersley; sister-in-law, Laura & Todd Hanlin; dear friend, Sherri Jennings Robbins & her daughter Lily; several nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.
Token was born in Plant City, FL, and grew up in Tampa. She graduated from King High School and worked for Publix for a number of years. Token was an avid sports fan especially the Chicago Clubs & Atlanta Falcons. She loved to cook and read. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Token Elizabeth Tankersley will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Smoke Rise Baptist Church, Stone Mountain, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
