Kiarna’s trip of a lifetime

Kiarna has an extremely rare blood disorder and recently underwent a life threatening Bone Marrow Transplant. Due to the high risk of infection, regrettably Kiarna is currently in the isolation ward at the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick and will be staying there for 2-3 months. Upon release she will still need to be kept under isolation and undergo constant observation for another 12 months until she fully recovers.
A skilled rep netball player adored for her kind-hearted nature and great sense of humour, spending a year recovering from an illness will be an extremely emotional and daunting time for Kiarna. Nonetheless, Kiarna puts on a brave face and as you can see, is always smiling.
As an incentive and something both Kiarna and family can look forward to, Sue has promised an overseas trip. Sue as you know, is an independent, full-time working, single mum devoted to her two girls and is determined to take Kiarna on the trip she deserves.
Amongst dealing with her daughter’s illness and treatment, over the last six years, Sue has volunteered as a netball coach giving a lot of her personal time, effort and friendly nature back to the netball and broader community. In support of Sue and her commendable efforts, we encourage you to join us is providing some financial support to Sue and her family so that Kiarna has the opportunity to experience the trip of her dreams.
Any donation, no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated to help Kiarna experience the beauty of the world in what has been a very scary time for this 13 year old.
