We are a group of students from Hotelschool The Hague working on our Project Management course, inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #3: Good Health & Well-being.
As part of our project, we are organizing a High Lunch event in a retirement home. Our aim is to create a meaningful day that strengthens social connections, combats loneliness, and brings joy to the residents through good food, shared stories, and a warm atmosphere.
What’s the event about?
On the day of the event, we will host 40 residents with a carefully prepared lunch and a program filled with moments of connection:
• A freshly prepared lunch with sandwiches, soup, fruit salad, and sweet treats
• A student presentation about Amsterdam’s 750-year anniversary ️
• Beautiful decorations and personalized touches like menus and name cards
Why we need your help.
While the retirement home is helping with part of the lunch, we are covering many of the costs ourselves for:
• Food & ingredients
• Decorations and print materials
• Small extras to make the event memorable
Your contribution, big or small, will help us create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where residents feel seen, valued, and connected. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against loneliness.
How you can help
1. Donate to help us cover the event’s costs.
2. Share this fundraiser with family, friends, or anyone who supports student initiatives for community well-being.
Thank you for helping us bring people together and spread joy!
