Hello, my name is Andrea, and I’m here to share a deeply personal story one that has affected someone very close to me who has been victim of abuse by a person exhibiting narcissistic personality traits. With immense courage, she reported him for psychological abuse, domestic violence, financial abuse, coercive control, constant manipulation, social isolation.

Sadly, instead of being held accountable, he is now using his position and financial resources to manipulate the legal system and falsely accuse her of things she did not do. This has left her emotionally exhausted and financially vulnerable. The burden of ongoing legal costs is becoming overwhelming.

What makes this situation even more heartbreaking is that she’s now being targeted by the very person who caused her so much harm. Simply for standing up for herself and her daughters by telling the truth.

Over the past few years, I’ve come to truly understand what abuse looks like. I never imagined something like this could happen to someone who is very close. I was completely unaware of the coercive control and isolation she was living under.

But through this long and painful journey, I’ve been able to reconnect with her. While studying psychology, she found the words to name the abuse and began the process of healing.
