Meet Mr. Wille— our 77-year-old neighbor, friend, and long-time Lake County resident. For the past decade, he’s been more than just a familiar face — he’s been the heart of our neighborhood. Always kind, always lending a hand, and always showing up for others, Mr. Willy has been a shining example of what Mr. Willy has lived in Lake County for 10 years and is well known as a staple of the community. From helping neighbors with their yards, to checking in on the elderly, to lending his time whenever anyone was in need, he has quietly made a difference in countless lives. Despite his age, he still finds joy in serving others, never asking for anything in return. He is the kind of neighbor everyone wishes they had — and the kind of person no community should ever let down.

Sadly, Mr. Wille is now facing one of the hardest moments of his life. He is going through a divorce, and on top of that, his ex-wife’s daughter — who has power of attorney — is trying to take away his home, his car, and everything he has built over the years. At 77 years old, Mr. Wille is at risk of losing it all, and he doesn’t even have the funds to hire proper legal representation. With court dates approaching quickly, time is running out.

Lake County has always been about family, about standing together, and about taking care of our own. Mr. Wille has been there for us for years — now it’s our turn to be there for him.
