Best Big Bro Ever vs. Diabetes

Hi Friends, acquaintances and kind strangers...
I'm aware this is not the most serious of causes in the grand sceme but for me, right now, it absolutley is! My older brother Michael, a 46 year old father of 4, has recently been hospitalized with severe foot infection directly related to diabetes and the nerve damage it has caused in his feet. This past weekend he had his big toe, which was already badly infected, amputated on one foot after contracting a Staph infection in the very hospital he was admitted to. He was able to return home for a couple of short days but has gone back and been re-admitted after his leg began turning red. I'm not a doctor or expert on diabetes but I've seen other family members and friends struggle with this disease and watched my uncle lose his foot, leg and eventually his life at an early age. I am on the opposite side of the country and am doing all I can to get to him for support, as a brother for moral support as well as financially in any capacity I can. He is the sole provider and is obviously not able to work now and I assume he will not be able for quite awhile. I'm not asking for much...The price of a ticket to get there (which is not a priority and I can most likely cover myself by weeks end) but more importantly some help to cover the important things that basic insurance won't. Rent, utilities, food, insurance, etc. for his family while he is unable to provide....which could be several months. Things are already beginning to pile up so the sooner the better please. I have donated multiple times on this and other sites to people and families with greater and lesser needs than this. Not always very much...$20, $50 and $5 on several occasions. I know any contribution helps...and is greatly appreciated! I'm hoping that a few good people will do the same to help out good people in need and know that it would be reciprocated one day in your time of need.
