<div>Thank you so much for your support for my father Todd Hawley. Hello, my name is Alexys, and I am reaching out to express my heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to read about the fundraiser I've organized for my father, Todd Hawley. Our family is deeply touched by the outpouring of prayers and donations, and we are immensely grateful for the support we have received. This fundraiser has been set up to assist my father, Todd Hawley, in his courageous battle against cancer for the second time. In 2017, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer, which was an incredibly challenging period for him and our family. Following the diagnosis, he underwent surgery to remove the tumor and was fitted with a stoma bag, a device he will have for life. The recovery process was arduous, and he was bedridden for several months. Through the grace of God, along with the exceptional care provided by the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and the unwavering support of our community, he triumphed over the disease. However, on August 30th, 2023, he received the devastating news of a new diagnosis of colon cancer. This time, a substantial tumor was discovered in his prostate and bladder, causing significant complications. To alleviate the urinary blockage caused by the tumor in his bladder, he underwent a surgical procedure to have a catheter inserted, which he will need to have replaced every three months for the rest of his life. Due to the tumor's size, surgical removal is currently not feasible, and he is undergoing chemotherapy at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in an attempt to shrink it. The toll of chemotherapy on his body is immense, and he experiences constant discomfort. Witnessing my father endure this is truly heart-wrenching, but his unwavering faith sustains us. He draws strength from his deep faith in God's plan, which gives us hope and fortitude during this trying time. My father has dedicated numerous years to the construction industry and is a devoted husband, father to six children, and proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren. His passions include horseback riding, fishing, and carpentry. As his daughter, I fervently pray that he will one day be able to resume these beloved activities with his children and grandchildren. However, at present, his physical movements are severely restricted due to the size of the tumor, which can lead to internal bleeding and subsequent infections. This recurrence of cancer has posed even greater challenges for him. Both my parents could greatly benefit from financial assistance to alleviate the financial strain during my father's treatments. The donations received will be allocated towards medical expenses, car payments, rent, and fuel costs. It is my earnest desire that my father can focus solely on his recovery without the added burden of financial worries.
