<div>     I want to share a story about HATE in one of its ugliest forms. This is my cousin Todd Hansen. He died June 3, 2025 in Orlando Florida where he lived. He was a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and was a High Priest in his religion. He worked as a nurse in one of his local hospitals. He was an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, for women's rights, for minorities and the less fortunate. He was a kind, merciful, and compassionate man, who loved art, theater, and dressing with style! He was loved and adored by all family, friends, co-workers, and even acquaintances who were granted the privilege to get to know him for who he was. He was charismatic, outspoken and beautiful in every way! Here's the ugly part : My beloved cousin Todd had no valid last will and testament. He had no spouse, no children, and both his parents were no longer living. His next of kin by law was his brother.

<div>     Now, Todd's brother hated him. Hated him since Todd was in high school, over 30 years ago!!! Todd's brother, hated him, disowned him, and refused to speak to Todd! Even in the few moments when Todd reached out to his brother, over the years, for a connection , Todd was met with ugly, hateful, venomous, words and slurs against him being a gay man! Now being next of kin, Todd's brother legally became the person in charge of Todd's cremation and Todd's remains. The brother had Todd cremated and then refused, absolutely refused, to pick up Todd's ashes!

<div>     Along with the refusal to pick up Todd's remains, the brother also banned any family or friends, (of whom loved Todd very much), from picking up Todd's ashes and claiming them at the crematorium. Then on June 16, 2025 the brother authorized for Orange County Health Services to dispose of Todd's ashes! DISPOSE of Todd's remains in a cemetery that is meant for Jane and John Doe and the unclaimed, despite knowing how much Todd was loved and claimed!! When asked Todd's brother referred to Todd as an abomination! He took away Todd's rights! Todd's rights to a proper ceremony! Todd's rights to have his remains placed into the urn that he had purchased before his death! Todd's rights to be home with his family!

<div>     The brother also took away our rights! Our rights, as Todd's family and friends, to make a proper funeral,and to properly honor our BELOVED Todd. He took away our rights of proper grief! NOW, we grieve, not only the death of our loved one ,Todd Hansen, we grieve the lack of closure of being able to bring Todd's remains home. Because of HATE, because of ugly, nasty,narrow- minded, selfish, bigotry, and HATE!!

<div>     Now, this is where I need your help . I Todd Hansen's cousin have access to a lawyer, a lawyer who will help us save Todd's remains from being fated to a pauper's grave. WE CAN GET THEM BACK, but it must be court ordered. We are on a time frame we have to get this process started right away! The faster we get the retainer fee for the lawyer, the faster we can put a hold on Todd's ashes so they won't be buried in a mass communal grave. We will have to pay for the lawyer, court fees, filing fees, extra fees if the brother contests (which he may), and all my travels back and forth from Kentucky where I live to Florida for court appearances and to retrieve Todd's remains. We are trying to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of everything.

<div>      Help us! Help us give Todd rest, to bring him home where he belongs with family and friends who have loved and and still do love Todd and accepted him for all that he was! The money that is raised will go towards bringing Todd home!!!
