Earlier this month Todd started peeing blood. He was taken to the emergency vet and treated for a UTI. Today the blood came back with a vengeance and he was rushed to the vet again, given an X-ray, and large bladder stones were found which will require immediate surgery. He had an X-ray last year and had no problems, so this was a very sudden occurrence and we are very worried. For now he's getting pain meds to help get him through it. We're still waiting on a quote for surgery but his trips to the emergency vet have already cost hundreds. With that and the fact that Todd was just neutered as well, his care has cost around $1000 for this month alone. The surgery will likely be several thousand more.
This is something we normally wouldn't ask or accept but with Dakota just moving to a new country we don't have a lot of options and Todd needs immediate medical attention. The goal I set is only a part of the total costs we're looking at, but we do not want to rely on others for an animal we are responsible for. There is just not any other option at the moment.
NOTE: the campaign currency is set to canadian. If you are donating from America, the exchange rate is currently 1CAD=.80USD. So if you choose to donate $10, make sure you actually enter $12 to account for the currency difference!
Everything helps and thank you so much for looking. I will update the page with more information shortly.
