Todd Jackson, a colleague and friend to many of us in the San Ramon office, died suddenly on January 30th, from heart failure, at the age of 63. As the project scheduler and Primavera administrator, Todd was known for his quiet patience, keen intelligence, problem solving, and unfailing dependability. Beyond these qualities, he is best remembered for his wry and quirky humor.
The heart condition that prematurely ended his life had prevented him from working full-time for the past 12 years, curtailing his career in IT and severely impacting his finances. With only part-time work and large medical bills, Todd often struggled to support himself and his wife, Walthena. His premature death has left Walthena heartbroken and suddenly alone, without her partner of 30 years, who had always looked after her and provided the financial means necessary to support her small income from Social Security Disability.
Todd was the most loyal of friends, who could always be counted on, just when you needed his quiet dependability, quirky humor, or kind words the most. In his memory, as co-workers and friends, we contribute collectively to help ease Walthena's way as she faces life on her own. Thank you for remembering Todd -- and his own gently generous nature -- in this gesture of support at a very difficult time.
