Todd Brownell Traumatic Ski Accident Spinal Injury

Donation protected
Yesterday morning 6/7/19, Todd had skiing accident that occurred at Squaw Valley ski area, and was Care Flighted to Renown Regional Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center. It was determined that he had a compression fracture of T12 in his spine. At 4 pm he went into surgery to stabilize his spine with rods and screws and relieve the pressure on his spinal cord. His spinal cord is swollen and has suffered some damage. The extent of the damage will not be determined until a couple of weeks from now.

During this time, he will spend some of his time at first in the Trauma ICU, after which he will be transferred to most likely the Neuro Step Down Unit or something similar. After which he will be reassessed to see how much damage was done to the cord. From there he will be going to a rehabilitation hospital for extensive therapy.

Please send your love and positive thoughts Todd's way, and if you would like to donate to help with his medical bills for this upcoming year, it be greatly appreciated.

Please share on Facebook, Text, Email, and any and all social media platforms. Thank you for your continued support.
