Todd and Kate Maye

As many of you may know back in January Todd was feeling sick for a while with what they thought was just a flu. He seemed to be getting worse instead of better and after a number of hospital visits he was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. He was immediately medevacked to the ICU unit in Edmonton's U of A hosiptal.

Todd has been diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy, a kidney disease that occurs when an antibody called immunoglobulin A (IgA) lodges in your kidneys. This results in local inflammation that, over time, may hamper your kidneys' ability to filter wastes from your blood. He has been on dialysis off and on since this diagnosis.

Not only is this diagnosis very scary,  the kind of IGA Nephropathy he has is very rare and causes issues with his lungs that affects his breathing. He is currently undergoing treatments for this along with dialysis.

Obviously Todd has been unable to work since this happened and is still in Edmonton Hospital. Kate is continuing to travel back and forth to Edmonton to spend time with him while he is undergoing treatment. It is still unknown when he will be released from the hospital and be able to work again.

As you can imagine this is a lot to handle for any family. Some of their friends are reaching out and asking you to help us take some of the financial burden off them at this time.

Please help and donate if you can!
