Please help us save our Toby!
Toby is our little, two year old, Puerto Vallarta rescue who we adopted through MexPup. It's hard to imagine such a loving, spunky, sweet little boy could have come from such hard beginnings.
One morning Toby began crying and appeared to be unable to use his back legs properly. Terrified, his family rushed him to the vet where he was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease. The vet recommended immediate emergency surgury that would need to be done in another city by a specialist.
Having already spent $600+ on tests and now looking at a surgery estimated at $3000-$5000 plus travel expenses, his family was devastated. His best hope to avoid being paralized is this surgery, that his family has no way of paying for.
His family was advised that the longer it took to get Toby in for surgery the higher the likelihood of severe long-term damage. While waiting for surgery, in order to keep him safe, Toby is confined to a crate for the majority of his time.
Please help us save our little boy. We can not afford this surgery and it needs to be done as soon as possible. Any amount of help would be so appreciated.
