Tobin Birch Medical

Our ten-month-old has many medical issues. He was born with a duadenal web, so nothing could pass through his gastrointestinal tract. For his first month of life, all nutrition came through an IV. During the surgery to correct the web when he was just a few days old, they found he had malrotated intestines, and corrected that at the same time. He has a clefted lip, clefted hard palate, clefted soft palate, and clefted uvula. He was born with a serious heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. He had open heart surgery when he was three months old. He has Spastic Diplegia, a form of Cerebral Palsy. My sweet boy also has very severe acid reflux. He aspirates, even on his spit, and so he has chronic lung disease. If he has any food in his stomach, he stops breathing. So he has a feeding tube that bypasses his stomach and goes into his small intestine. He quits breathing a couple times a week anyway and has to be recessitated.

However... He is the sweetest baby in the world! He is happy all the time. He giggles constantly, and and loves fully. I'm not just saying this because he is mine; he truly is such a special baby!!

He has already had 5 surgeries in his short life and will have to have at least a dozen more to finish reparaing his cleft lip & palate.  We have managed to stay ahead of his medical bills up to this point and have many of his bills on payment plans.   Bills still keep coming in and we are starting to feel overwhelmed with trying to pay all of the medical bills and being able to afford the everyday things we need. 

We are aware that everyone has their own issues that they are dealing with in their own way and we don't wish to be a burden to anybody. Any help that could be given to help us get ahead of the bills and stay afloat would be greatly appreciated.  All donations will go to helping Tobin in his recovery and in upcoming surgeries.
