Toasties for International Students in Melb

THE WHY: At Frankie Walter Peta, we have incredibly passionate international students as part of our core team. Without them we would very quickly struggle to keep our small cafe running, even in this takeaway only world - we will continue to support our team through the current crisis. Mindful that there are plenty of international students in Melbourne struggling to make ends meet, through no fault of their own, we are proposing the following gesture. THE PLAN / THE ASK: From Tuesday the 14th of April, for any temporary visa holders living in Melbourne, we will be dropping the price of our delicious toasties to $2. This fundraiser is to pay for any customer on a temporary visa who feel that they aren't in a position to pay the $2 (e.g. as they are prioritising rent) - a pay-it-forward option for anyone that is willing. Toasties (limits will apply) = (1) Cheese + Ham,  (2) Cheese + Ham + Tomato, or (3) Just Cheese We are aiming to keep this in place until end of May, but will reassess closer to the date if an extension is needed.  WHAT IT MEANS: At a time where we should be working stronger as a global community to support any person in any location, this is just a small token of help in a way we know how. With your donations we will be able to ensure that no International Student or temporary visa holder living in Melbourne goes home hungry, and feel welcome and supported in a time of isolation.
