To Honor Tevya Washburn

"This morning I lost the love of my life. I woke up to him in cardiac arrest, and the paramedics couldn't save him. I'm in pieces right now and in complete shock. He was an amazing husband and the better parent to our children. I love you forever, Tev." -- Jill Washburn

Tevya Washburn (38) passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2020.  In honor and memory of him, we want to support his wife, Jill, and their four children: Colter, Ellie, Lorelai, and Ezra.

Tevya was, in every sense, a renaissance man. He was an author, a film maker, and entrepreneur. He was an amateur historian with an inner Indiana Jones and a sense of adventure for discovering what the past might tell us. He shot guns, built websites, and consulted on leadership. Tevya could talk with anyone, anywhere, on any topic, and believed that each person he met could teach him something new.  He had a special presence that drew people to him. This power was centered in his calm and deliberate nature. He never dominated a room but you sensed his presence and you felt better for it. He was a careful listener and learner, always eager to put others at ease and lighten their burden.

More than anything, Tevya lived to be a husband and a father. He had a unique relationship with each of his children--reading stories, teaching survival skills, designing projects, and exploring the wonders of the natural and virtual world. Tevya--always gentle and kind--reserved his greatest tenderness for Jill in the way he treated her, talked with her, encouraged and supported her.

Now Jill faces the daunting task of being a single mom. With Tevya gone, she suddenly has become the primary breadwinner and must provide for their 4 children alone. On top of grieving, Jill is left with unexpected medical and funeral bills and the reins of Tevya's entrepreneurial business.

In response to requests from family and friends who want to show their support, Tev and Jill's siblings put together this campaign. Jill and her children will be the sole recipients. The funds will be used to provide immediate and future assistance for them. It will help alleviate the sudden costs that come with the devastating passing of a loved one and to support Jill and their children as they begin life without their husband and father.

We sincerely appreciate your donation to help us lighten the burden on his family. Thank you for your support.
