To help Biffie get back on her feet

Don protégé

Biffie (Elizabeth) Branagan is 32 Years old and a Paramedic who saves other peoples lives for a living.

In March 2019 Biffie was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma, her tumour was the size of a fist.

Bif endured over 6 rounds of Chemotherapy which absolutely took its toll not only physically on her body but emotionally as well. Bif spent many days and nights in hospital and many many more days spent extremely ill trying to recover at home.

Being a Paramedic (and a human) there was no way Biffie could work whilst undergoing Chemo, therefore had to take at least 8 months off work. Luckily her beautiful family were able to support her financially so she was still able to remain independent and try to live a somewhat normal life. This included (but definitely not limited to) Rent payments, Medication, Car Payments, Bills, Food etc

Now if that was not enough for one person to go through, on Sunday morning 24th November at around 3:30am, our house was broken into and Biffie (and Erika's) cars were stolen. In Bif's car was a bag filled with her Paramedic uniform, stethoscope etc and a wig from the Wig Library at the hospital which was on loan. This would total to over $1000 worth of gear that now needs to be replaced.

AND it gets worse...

Biffie had a leased Hyundai 2107 Tucson in which her car payments came directly out of her pay. Seeing as Bif was unable to work during her months of debilitating Chemo, Bif rang the car company and asked how she should make her car payments now as she was not being paid directly from her work place.
The car company advised Bif to pay manually through a different company. Which she did and NEVER missed or made a late payment.

Upon calling said car company to advise her car was stolen... the car company proceeded to tell her she had NO Comprehensive Insurance due to now making her payments manually...... Something Bif was never advised!

And after all that... Yesterday morning Monday 9th December, Bif received a phone call to let her know her car had been torched. So any hope we had of getting her car back was gone.

The car company has now sent Bif an invoice for $25,000 made payable by Christmas Day for the stolen car.

Now, this we are going to fight. However this still leaves Biffie in the position of having no car to get to and from work and no way of getting around.

Biffie is the MOST AMAZING and generous person with a heart of gold. She has been the biggest trooper this year while going through Chemotherapy and fighting cancer and she has done it all with her usual bubbly attitude and fighting spirit.

For those who know Biffie, you know she absolutely DID NOT want me to set this Go Fund Me page for her... at the risk of losing our friendship... I have done it anyway!

Bif needs help to get back on her feet and anything you can possibly do to help would make the world of difference.

Bif has had the worst year imaginable and never asks anything of anyone and is always the first to lend a hand when you need one.

Please help us raise some money to get Bif back on track and to help her get her life back, so she can save money to spend on herself and not paying a car company with no spine.

Thank you to everyone in advance for taking the time to read and help Biffie!
