To Feed Daily-Wagers During Lockdown and Covid19

Women for Human Rights Group is an organization working for the rights of Single Women in Nepal for the last 25 years. www.whr.org.np 

Since Nepal went for a complete lockdown, thousands of daily-wagers and low-income families are out of job and stranded in the city without food. We have been since Day 1 providing relief packages and feeding cooked meals. As of April 30, 2020, we have been serving cooked meals to over 1200 people and the number is increasing every day. 

The local government is helping us in identifying the people starving without food. And we have with the help of volunteers been cooking meals at WHR / Chhahari premises and distributing it every evening from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The demand is increasing day by day as more people are turning up for daily meals.  

Therefore, we request your support in raising the required funds for us to buy essentials to feed until the lockdown and during the recovery phase.

Update

We are glad to share with you all that we were able to feed 36,109 meals during the lockdown. This could not have possible without your support.
