Help for family as Covid delays cancer treatment!

Donation protected
Our names are Jeff and Dan. Our good friend and co-worker Josh, could use a little help while he battles cancer. Due to Covid-19 his treatments have been postponed several times and his family's expenses are growing. Our goal with this GOFUNDME page is to raise funds for his soon to be family of 4. The funds will be used for medical bills, travel expenses, and to fill the gap of lost wages until he can return to work from undergoing treatment and winning his battle with cancer. We have set the goal at 50,000 but know that we can far exceed that goal with your generosity and sharing. Thank you all for helping us take away some of this families burden and providing a better holiday season.

Josh and Laura's story:

Josh had a bout with cancer several years ago and fought hard to beat it. He was a single man with a supportive family and with all of their support combined with great medical care and his own strength he did just that. He beat cancer and lived for several years cancer free.

In 2018 Josh married Laura and they became pregnant. The couple was overjoyed about this due to the obvious uncertainty of how his previous treatments could have adversely affected his ability to become a father. In 2019, Laura gave birth to a happy healthy daughter. Shortly after Josh learned that his cancer had returned and that the doctors wanted him to undergo a very aggressive treatment regimen. Knowing this was ahead of them, Josh and Laura wanted to try to have another child before this treatment began. Very shortly after deciding, Laura became pregnant again and Josh started the first of many treatments.

Josh began his treatments in summer 2020 and continued to work full time at his job. As he began to experience the cumulative effects of these treatments and with future treatments delayed by covid-19; it became increasingly difficult for him to be present at work. He persevered for several months, working thru pain and fatigue and all the while turning in a stellar performance of his duties at work. In late November all of this caught up with him and he just couldn't make it through his long work days.

Josh has always been a vibrant young man spending a lot of time even at a young age coaching volleyball and applying himself to his work. Now with a wife and daughter (and son on the way) he is completely dedicated to them. Josh has finished his first type of treatment and is now slated to undergo stem cell treatment at Vanderbilt Hospital in the coming weeks. I can only imagine that the cost of the previous treatments were incredible, but what lies ahead (treatment) will be even more. Josh needs to be able to focus on himself but knowing him we are sure he will be just as worried about his wife and children and providing for them.

Our hopes for this go fund me is to raise enough money to pay for previous treatments, enough to help cover the costs of the upcoming stem cell treatments, and to ensure that his family is taken care of so that he can concentrate on receiving his treatments and making a full and lasting recovery.

Our intentions are pure, this lovely family is special, and Josh himself is as deserving of help as anyone could be as he would always be the first to jump in and help others in need. We ask that you donate if possible but perhaps more importantly share this story with everyone you know and ask them to do the same. Lets get this out across the country and across the world so we can make a difference in the lives of this precious family.
