TNR is a humane alternative to trap-and-kill, allowing cats to live out their natural lives within their colonies. Here’s some information on the benefits for trapping,neutering/spaying and releasing cats!(TNR would be done through Fix n Friends, at Greene County Humane Society)

Population Control

TNR prevents the birth of new kittens, leading to a gradual decrease in the overall cat population in a specific area.

Improved Health

Sterilized cats are less likely to contract diseases, get into fights, or roam long distances, resulting in a healthier and longer life.

Reduced Stress

Sterilization reduces the stress associated with mating and reproduction, contributing to the overall well-being of the cats.

Reduced Shelter intake and Reduced Euthanasia

By stabilizing cat populations, TNR reduces the number of cats entering shelters, which can lead to lower euthanasia rates.

All of my strays/ferals are great cats who deserve the chance to live long and healthy lives! Anything helps and everything is appreciated❤️
