Michael Pimpinella Jr. Memorial Fund

The Pimpinella Family is mourning the loss of their 18-month-old son, Mikey, who was airlifted to the pediatric intensive care unit at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital on Friday, November 19th following a tragic choking incident. Mikey’s parents, Kimberly and Michael, remained by his side every second of every day praying that their sweet baby boy would be blessed with a miracle and return back home to his family. After 10 long days fighting for his life, their worlds were shattered and lives changed forever when given the devastating news of Mikey’s passing due to hypoxia (lack of oxygen to the brain).

To know Mikey was to know a smart, silly and sensitive little soul. He brought the purest joy to the lives of his family and friends. He filled their mornings with the brightest smiles and their evenings with the warmest embraces. Mikey’s beautiful spirit will live on through his twin sister, Ellie, and big sister, Olivia. The three siblings share an indescribable love for one another; an everlasting bond inspired by their loving parents and family.

As the Pimpinella Family grieves the sudden, tragic loss of their baby, we would be eternally grateful if everyone please come together to relieve the family of any financial burden brought on by medical expenses. With pediatric intensive care comes unexpected and astronomical costs. Unfortunately, not all are fully covered by insurance. Assisting the family with financial stressors will help them to remain focused on what’s truly important. Any money not needed, will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House, a program that allowed them to stay so close to Mikey during his hospital stay.

Above everything, we ask for infinite prayers, love, and support for the Pimpinella Family as they go through this unimaginable time. Please pray that God remain close to our dear friends and give them strength and comfort during the most difficult days ahead.
