TMS Therapy for Major Depression

Hi, I'm Kim and I have suffered from major depressive disorder since I was 8 years old. I have been institutionalized 3 times for suicide attempts and still struggle constantly with my disease. My doctor and I adjust my medications multiple times each year, but my depressive episodes do not improve. I am looking to raise money for transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy. It was only approved by the FDA a few years ago, but has had amazing results. In the treatment a magnetic current is run through the patient's brain. One study in 2012 showed that out of 42 TMS clinics in the US, 58 % of people showed improvement. Out of that 58%, 37% achieved full remission from depression.

I am very lucky. I have one of the few healthcare plans in the country that covers this treatment however I will need to deal with copays and my deductible. So I am reaching out to ask for help. I don't want to die and I believe that someday my depression will kill me. Anything you can give I will be eternally grateful for. Thank you.
