My sister has suffered an injury to her brain caused by a miscarriage her doctors didn’t handle correctly. Liz has always had a blood
clott disorder, knowing she is high risk the doctors sent my sister home to pass this baby on her own unless she did not then her DNC was scheduled for the following tuesday which was about 4 days away from the day we found out she lost this baby. I cannot express how many times my sister asked the doctors if she would be okay and reminded them about her disorder.. they told her yes and sent her home. My sister started showing early signs of a stroke but her husband nor I knew what those were... I wish i had educated myself on it a little more but who knew that’s where we would end up at. Liz suffered a severe stroke  Sunday morning and was rushed the hospital. Doctor had informed us she had 5 blood clots on her brain and started emergency surgery to remove the clots. Surgery & the stroke left my sister with severe damage to the right side of her brain which functions the way she speaks and understands. Once the brain is damaged it is damaged, tissue cannot heal itself.. A very very long road is ahead of us if she will ever get to speak again or move her right side. Out of everyone I know my sister is the strongest person, she doesn’t deserve this. Liz has been through so much from her first still born to loosing her 4th baby which would be the second one she has miscarried. If the doctor would had kept her for observation immediately after seeing this baby no longer alive in her stomach my sister wouldn’t be in this situation. Liz has two beautiful baby girls Rayne, 4 and Elly, 2 that need their mommy more than anything. I have faith my sister will have a speedy recovery and she will speak again no matter what it takes. Liz is so strong and she is determined, she makes a little more progress each day. Knowing that this is going to be such a long road for her and this family i’m trying to raise money. The kids father needs to work to support his family and we will all be visiting that hospital quite often for a long while.  Liz will also be needing rehab to learn to communicate again and move that right side. Besides raising this money i’m asking for all of your prayers.. as many as we can get. The power of prayer is so strong.
