HELP TOBIE

Hi allllll; as most of you know we adopted a cat from Animal control here in Mason county! We got him home and noticed he was only hiding out under the bed, which we suspected was normal due to the circumstances. A day later he finally came out, but was not eating or drinking anything. I was steady on keeping the box clean, and noticing, he wasn’t even using it. Meaning -he was not going to the bathroom at all. I called and made him a vet appointment that was 2 weeks out, in these two weeks I noticed some sparatic meowing activity, that sounded painful! I did some online researching and about this time I noticed a crusty black slobber build up around his mouth. And it smelled BAD. I took a warm rag and started breaking it down and cleaning him up. I assumed it was from being in animal control and he just contracted something. I was VERY WRONG.
fast forward to a few days later, I open up his mouth because the slobber has returned. He has white crystallized nodules on his teeth. I start calling the vet, asking them to call me every chance they get a cancellation because he cannot wait. Vet day comes, he weighs FOUR POUNDS. I am told that his life is not looking very good. Heartbroken, they tell me he needs about 1700$ in dentistry work because every tooth needs to be pulled.. i got him a 2 week shot, wormer, and pain meds. ALSO, when I got him they provided me with a neuter paper(75$ off) andcome to find out HES NEUTERED. Also, we almost thought he had hip problems because he was so skinny. His hips are healthy though! He is also SIX. Or older!! He looks like a little dude though so we were shocked. I got ahold of I believe Animal friends up here and Jody pointed me to Paws! They are going to pay to have his teeth removed so whatever o have that gets donated here, will be GIVEN. To them, to replace money that is spent during his procedure. Please donate whatever you can to help! I know covid-19 has put a damper on everyone, but please help us give this dude the life he deserves!

(he started eating soft cat food after the antibiotic was administered but after the two weeks were up- the sparatic nerve pain meowing came back which is why now were so desperate!)
