TLC for T411

Tax deductible
Join our project coordinator Ben Cornwell in returning T411 to its former glory.

Built in 1968 T411 is a perfect working example of the last batch of T class diesel electric locomotives built for the Victorian Railways.  After retiring from active railway service and spending a number of years stored T411 found its way to be lovingly preserved by the MRPS.

The purpose of this page is that the Mornington Railway wants to return the locomotive to it's original as built colour scheme and carry out some much needed rust repairs and body work.

After wearing the current colour scheme for many years the locomotive is now in much need of a repaint which will be done by a team of dedicated volunteers. The money you are pledging is going towards sanding materials, undercoat paint, top coat paint, new sheet metal, welding rods and metal filler.

In return for your contributions we are offering the following 3 rewards:
>$100 - your name on a plaque to be mounted on the electric cabinet door inside the cab of the locomotive.
>$500 - a cab ride in the locomotive on it's launch day + name on the plaque.
>$1,200 - a chance to drive the locomotive doing one full return journey on the Mornington Line plus name on the plaque.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much.
