Hair for Heather

Donation protected
If you've met Heather, you know she is one of a kind. She is a kickass mother, sister, daughter, and friend.  Someone who will be there for you at the drop of a hat. Someone who is always down for an adventure. Someone who loves with her whole heart.

When Heather was diagnosed with a brain tumor, it was (almost) one of a kind. Heather had an apple-sized Medulloblastoma removed from her brain on December 21, 2018. This type of tumor is very rare, accounting for < 1% of all adult brain tumors.

Medullablastomas are highly malignant and have a tendancy to spread. Even though the surgery went very well, an aggressive radiation therapy program begins February 2019.

The radiation will kill the remaining cancerous cells and Heather will lose her hair. Today I'm asking for a donation to help Heather purchase a kick ass wig to go along with her kick ass personality.  Although she could rock any hair-do, we want her to feel as confident as possible while she deals with the challenge of a life time.

Funds will also be used to help cover costs related to her treatment (transportation etc). All additional proceeds will be donated to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada.

Thank you!
