Get Amanda to her dads funeral

I'm not much for words so this is going to be short and sweet.
We all know how extremely hard working and dedicated Amanda is. You may know she has been working three jobs for the last while to be able to afford to do her practicuum (unpaid, of course) in China from March 24th until the end of May. During this time she has foregone a social life (you should see how much Netflix we watched) and gone without a lot of things to save money for this trip, all without ever once asking for any help from anyone.
Unfortunately, Amanda's dad passed away on March 27th in Toronto. To get Amanda to his funeral and to see her family in Toronto, a round trip flight from China and back so she can continue on this once in a lifetime opportunity will cost about $1400 just for the plane ride. For a student who took months to save this same amount to go in the first place, it's simply too much.
If you're able to help out, any amount at all will be a huge relief for Amanda (unless you go for the socks).
