Please Help My Uncle Rebuild His Life After the Hurricane

My name is Latesha, I'm from Calgary Alberta. Im raising this money for my uncle who lives in Jamaica. He was hit hard by the recent hurricane. His roof has been completely destroyed — water is pouring in from every direction. He’s laying in his bed with a bucket on his lap, just trying to catch the rain to keep himself dry.

My uncle has been paralyzed for over 20 years. Life has never been easy for him, but he’s always been strong and kept his faith. Now everything he owns — his furniture, TV, clothes, dresser — is soaked and ruined. On top of this he hasnt had power or running water for weeks. Seeing his condition he is trapped with no healthcare aid to feed him, change his diaper or give him a bath. His home, the one safe space he had, is falling apart. I know alot of people are struggling after this and I don't want to take away from anyone however he can't help himself. He's unable to move and trapped in one area of the house. A portion of his road has been demolished making it hard to even leave.

It breaks my heart to know he’s going through this, and I can’t sit back and do nothing. I’m starting this GoFundMe to help him repair his roof, replace what he’s lost, and bring some comfort back into his life.
