What: TJ Meyer Endowed Scholarship Fund
When: Now - November 1
How: Make an online donation through GoFundMe OR make a tax-deductible donation in person at the Milford Public Schools District Office - 1200 W 1st St, Milford, NE.
Why: TJ Meyer had a story. He made it worth telling. He was passionate about his faith, his family, and education. Everyone who was in the presence of or had a conversation with TJ felt the genuine love and care that he exuded. I'm not alone when I say TJ had an impact on me both personally and professionally. I'm not alone when I say I miss TJ. Unfortunately, we recently lost him entirely too soon after a hard fought battle against brain cancer.
As a way to honor TJ and something he was passionate about - education - through something I love - running - I will be dedicating all 26.2 miles of the TCS NYC Marathon to my friend TJ on November 5. As I run through all five boroughs of New York City with #Meyernation on my shirt, I'll be thinking about TJ and his passion for students and education, and how many lives will continue to be touched by his legacy through the TJ Meyer Endowed Scholarship.
Please consider contributing to the higher education of Milford Public School students, and helping them to write the next chapter in their stories, by making a donation to the TJ Meyer Scholarship in memory and honor of TJ.
