Dear friends and family,
As many of you know, Josh and I have a huge spot in our hearts for Tijuana, Mexico! We have both been there numerous times, fallen in love with the people and culture of Mexico, and love being a part of the ministry of DOXA. In case you’re unfamiliar with DOXA, it’s a Christian organization that enables life transformation by connecting underprivileged families in Tijuana to churches who can provide them with secure and stable housing. We’ve had the privilege of seeing life transformation happen in families in Tijuana, as well as in the lives of the students we’ve built with, and ourselves! With that said, Josh is excited to start this trip with the student ministry of First Christian Church (FCC)!
Our goal is to take students and build two houses during our upcoming trip in July. FCC has generously agreed to pay for one house - which we are so thankful for! However, that still leaves another house to be financed. This big amount ($4,500) for the second house falls to the students to pay, and would cause their trip cost to greatly increase. So, in order to keep the cost of the trip affordable for students, Josh and I decided we would like to try to raise the money for the second house ourselves.
With all of that said, we’d love to invite you to be a part of this trip by helping to finance the second house that will become a home in a few short months! While our short-term goal is getting this house paid for, our long term goal is to make the Tijuana mission trip a tradition at FCC that will live for years to come, and therefore bless family upon family in Tijuana.
