Brie's Medical & Memorial Fund

Donation protected

In the early hours of March 20th, Brie Rounsley lost her battle with cancer. She had been fighting her second bout of cervical cancer for about a year. Brie did her best to continue to work throughout chemo treatments until it became nearly impossible for her. Regardless of how gracious her employer had been, the bills stacked up.

Brie was strong, funny, creative, and caring. I had met her through a fitness community (Tone It Up). We had known each other for a couple of years but became very close in the past year and a half. She was someone that could make you feel better when you were down, make you laugh out loud by an inappropriate comment, but also be the one to stand up for you and have your back- no matter what. She was loyal and loving, even to the very end. As sick as she was, she was still able to make us all laugh in the hospital room.

Chris Rounsley, Brie's husband, has been working part-time and going to school, as Brie was sick. He took care of her most of his time and was needed to be by her side for hospital visits, leaving him no choice but to miss work.

The costs for her medical bills and her memorial are a lot to burden for Chris. By raising this money it will help cover the costs that are not covered by insurance. Brie had also asked to be cremated and buried with a newly planted tree, as part of a memorial.

Thank you for helping us raise funds to help Brie and her family. All funds raised will be going directly to Brie's husband, Chris.
