<div>"Hello everyone. My name is Matthew Ellis, and my life has been defined by two major battles.
</div>
<div>The first battle was the life I was living. Growing up in Dublin was hard—I was surrounded by drugs, crime, and chaos. But then came the second battle: two separate cancer diagnoses. That was the wake-up call. I changed my whole life. I left the drugs, left the crime, and committed myself to healing.
</div>
<div>I proved my commitment by completing the 600km Camino Portugués—a true victory over my past. Now, I am ready for the ultimate challenge: the Camino Francés (780km).
</div>
<div>My Urgent Goal: €2,000
</div>
<div>I am asking for support to cover the final, essential logistics of this journey. My goal is just €2,000 for flights, insurance, and critical funds for food and basic accommodation along the route.The Pledge: Supporting the Mater Hospital
</div>
<div>Every single euro raised beyond the €2,000 goal will be donated directly to the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
</div>
<div>By supporting me, you are investing in my continued healing, validating my decision to change my life, and directly supporting the amazing staff at the Mater. Help me turn survival into a triumph and help me support the hospital. Thank you."
