Help fund Titjimbat youth programs

Our name, Titjimbat Gija was given to us by the traditional owners in Minyerri; it means to 'teach and share everything together’. 

We are a group of volunteers primarily from Melbourne and paid community members from remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.  Together through co-design and permission of community members we facilitate free community programs during the school holidays.  Our on-country programs include a variety of cultural, vocational, academic, sport and nutrition and wellbeing activities.  

We are a very small organisation that is making a difference in remote communities.  We are able to make a small amount of money go a long way. Volunteers give their time and pay their own way.  The small amount of money we need pays for sports equipment, breakfast programs, art materials and tools and the paid hours of Aboriginal community members who deliver the programs - which are essential to Titjimbat's success.  Check out our website at: https://www.titjimbat.org/ !

We work, learn and play on the land of the Alawa, Boon Wurrung, Mangarrayi and Wurundjeri people, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.


All funds that are donated will go directly towards the programs being run in communities during the 2020 school holidays in January and July.  They will be transferred to the programs accounts and will be used to purchse sports equipment, art supplies, food for the nutrition program, tshirts for the team and will pay for the paid hours of community members who work to deliver the programs.  Our Managing Director, Rachael will withdraw the funds from the GoFundMe, then transfer them directly to the programs accounts.
