Tiny Tinsel's Leg Surgery

Donation protected
Tinsel was found dumped in a forest near Brisbane possibly by a backyard breeder or puppy farmer.
Why would someone dump a cute little thing like her? Probably because she was born with severe deformities in both her back legs
At only 8 weeks old she would not have survived on her own but luckily she was found and taken to the RSPCA. Her legs are so bad the vets at the shelter were unable to help her so she has come out to Poodle Rescue Qld so she can have the ongoing treatments she will need to give her a happy and pain free life.
Her xrays show that both patellas (kneecaps) are completely displaced. One is actually behind the knee. One of the bones in her leg is rotated 90 degrees and some of the bones have a slight curve.
The specialist thinks she will need two lots of surgery on both legs. One lot now and the second round in a few months time.
This quote is for the first round of surgery.
They will never be perfect but we will do everything possible to ensure she is in no pain with her problems.
Tinsel is such a vibrant and active little soul. She scoots around the place like a pocket rocket on her funny little legs. She needs the surgery because without it she will end up with very painful arthritis.
If you would like to see more of Tinsel, go to the Poodle Rescue Qld page on facebook.
Please help this little one. She deserves it. xxx
