Ellie has an extremely rare congenital heart defect called shones complex she also has laryngomalacia type 2 and Tracheobronchomalacia, she's went through 1 open heart surgery last October and had her second on the 9th December.
WE NOW HAVE THE FUNDS TO GET ELLIES CAPE PERSONALISED ❤️ any extra funds raised other than for the cape will be used for Ellie and sister's care and to keep us afloat while we are here.
Just a little update on ellie she had a surgery on the 9th of December she was only meant to have a mitral valve repair but due to complications, the repair didn't work when they tried to take her off bypass. They went back in to try another repair and again that failed so the only option was to replace the mitral valve. They then say and watched her in the theater for a few hours to see how her heart handled the change her heart was okay but when they tried taking her of the bypass machine it didn't work they tried numerous times so in the end they chose to out her on ecmo (life support) to give her body a rest the 7 says and going to be long, hard and stressful hoping we can get her off ecmo and home. We are now in alderhey for the foreseeable with our other 3 girls at home. We appreciate everything everyone is doing for us sharing/donating/words of hope and prayers. Please share as much as you can get Ellie's story heard by as many people as possible.
Our surgeon said he's not seen many like Ellie and he is definitely right she's our 1 in a million xx
