Tiny Records is a mobile recording studio concept that I built into the back of a 2005 Ford Econoline e250. The initial build out took about 8 months, and was largely done by hand. With the help of youtube tutorials, an understanding of basic construction and a background in music and recording - Tiny Records came to life and has now become a unique group of talented friends making it all happen: music engineers, videographers and directors, clothing designers and of course musicians.
We’ve recorded 3 artists so far - Parker Lane (feat. Printz Board of Black Eyed Peas), Rainee Blake (from TV’s Nashville) and Louis Schefano (Remy Zero, Maria Taylor and solo artist) and we're working diligently to edit and create unique content that we will share with you very soon.
A few days ago a wrench was thrown in the works. The van was stolen and ended up in an impound lot in East Los Angeles. While thankfully the basic frame of the van remains intact (there wasn’t any excess vandalism), everything was stolen. All of the music gear, the fan in the roof, the AC/DC converter and battery that powers the studio, even the battery under the hood.
We are creating this GoFundMe account to get the van repaired and running, have a budget for heightened security (Lo Jack, Kill switch and hopefully gated parking), and replace all of the stolen belongings, and even make some improvements (AC unit in the back among other things so artists can be at maximum comfort).
Our goal is 25k. We thank all of our friends and musician/artist friends for the outpouring of support already. Feel no pressure to contribute, but if you have second to share the link we would really appreciate it.
We aren’t going to let a bunch of thieves stop us from making great music on the go!
