**UPDATE**
We wanted to give you all an update—Chikki had her surgery, and she did incredibly well! She’s already adapting to life on three legs like the resilient little fighter she is. Her recovery is going smoothly, and her spirit hasn’t dimmed one bit. She’s still full of purrs, cuddles, and curiosity.
While this wasn’t an easy decision, we knew it was the best chance at giving her a pain-free life. To make it happen, I ended up taking out a small loan to cover the surgery costs, but seeing her healing and happy makes every bit of it worth it.
Thank you all again for the love, support, and generosity you’ve shown us—it truly means the world.
Hi everyone,
My name is Ashley, and I work on a farm where I recently rescued a tiny, brave kitten named Chikki. Just about two months old, Chikki was found two weeks ago with her front left leg caught in a rat trap. I can’t imagine how long she had been suffering alone before I found her, but despite the pain, she purred the moment I picked her up.
Chikki has been a little fighter from the beginning — full of life, snuggles, and a strong will to survive. Unfortunately, the damage to her leg is too severe, and she now needs surgery to amputate the limb. The procedure, including follow-up care, will cost $1,534, which is more than I can afford on my own.
I’ve already taken on her basic medical care, but I’m reaching out now because this surgery is urgent for her to live a healthy, pain-free life. The vet says she has a great chance of adapting well to life on three legs — she just needs the chance.
Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward Chikki’s surgery and recovery. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page means the world too.
From the bottom of my heart (and Chikki’s tiny purring one), thank you for helping give this little survivor the future she deserves.
With gratitude,
Ashley & Chikki
