Despite receiving encouragement and likes on social media, I haven't yet secured the funding needed to bring this vision to life.  To help raise a healthy awareness of the Georgia Homelessness and Housing Statistics as of Feb:(2026).

<div>The Impact on Familes &amp; Homelessness:

<div>When we talk about the 75,000 -unit gap isn't filled, the most vulnerable are pushed out entirely...

<div>The "Hidden" Homeless:
</div>
<div>In the Broader spectrum, Metro area, thousands of families are now living in extended-stay hotels, because they cannot meet the strict income requirements( often times-3x the rent) or provide the massive security deposits required in a tight market.

<div>The " Vacant" Irony:
</div>
<div>There is approximately 450,000 Vacant homes in Georgia, yet thousand sleep on the streets because they are price out of an affordable place to live.

<div>Family Crisis:
</div>
<div>There has been a 14% rise in Family Homelessness in the last year- meaning more children are in cars and motels, and needless to say, exposed to the dangers of the streets.

<div>The Inventory Gap:
</div>
<div>In Fulton County alone has a shortfall of 75,000 Housing units. There is a COST BURDEN! For an Individual(s), making about 22,000 - $25,000 a year can typically only afford $800.00 a month. According to the fair market, and I say, ("Fair Market Value) very loosely". because we know nothing is fair about a one bedroom in Fulton County now closer to $1,600.00 a month!

<div>The Family:

<div>Roughly,.. 32% of All households in Fulton County are now "Cost Burdened" meaning they are spending More than 30% of their take home pay Rent and Utilities, and for a family of four, this often means sacrificing groceries or healthcare to pay a mortgage, in which has risen 28-40% within the last few years.

<div>Vanishing Inventory: Just a Little Note....,.

<div>Between 2017 and "Post Covid" 2021, Fulton County LOST approx. (20,000) "missing middle" Housing like duplexes, towne-homes, and small apartment building.

<div>Homeownership: 
</div>
<div>There are currently, zero zip codes in the Fulton County area alone, needless to say.. the surrounding counties where a household earning 80% of the (AMI) Area Median Income, can afford to buy a median-priced home. ($450K- 600k+) This too forces families who would be buyers to remain RENTERS, further tightening the rental market for everyone else.

<div>The Investment Displacement:

<div>One of the major factors in this shortfall is the "Institutional Landlord."
</div>
<div>In Metro Atlanta, investment funds have accounted for roughly one-third of All single family home purchases, this has unfortunately removed "starter homes" from the market, turning potential homeowners into permanent renters and driving up the costs and cause unimaginable homelessness.

<div>This data reinforces why the Tiny Homes For The Homeless Initiative is so vitally important. We are navigating a housing system that's missing 75,000 "Keys."
