Tinos recovery

As some of you know Tino Nunez has been hospitalized with a major infection. For those of you who do not know....
On the 26th of July we were given some unexpected news....
After 3 weeks of being told by 3 different doctors in the Valley that Tino had pulled a muscle and that he needed to go home and use ice and ibuprofen as needed for pain. They asked for a MRI, as they already had 3 weeks of sleepless nights, sweats and chills...
They got the MRI, made it home and got a phone call that they needed to be right back up to the hospital for an emergency MRI due to finding something.
A doctor from Boise was there and extracted 2 two vials from his right hip.... Immediately looked at them and said he is going to Utah right now.
Without wasting anytime Marisa and his Grandmother got in the truck and left to Salt Lake City Utah.
After arriving with in one hour Tino went Septic, a septic code was called and went directly into his first emergency surgery.
Not even 24 hours later he was in his second emergency surgery due to going septic yet a second time.
Three different teams are working with him: Genral Pediatrics, Orthopedics, and Infections Disease team.
Tino is now up to 6 surgeries and 3 blood transfusions. They are hoping for recovery in his hip, but it is not guaranteed at this point as the hip is still infected.
Mom and Grandma have not left his side as Tino is still not out the woods and will not be until his CRP numbers drop. He has been diagnosed with 6 different conditions:
·MRSA bacterial sepsis hip
· extensive right sided thigh myositis
·Fascitis
. Cellutis
· intermuscular and subperiosteal abscesses
· septic arthritis and femoral osteomyelitis status post right hip drainage.
When they are released he will need extensive physical therapy, in home health care due to him having a PICC line, trips back and forth to Salt Lake multiple times a week for follow up appointments until cleared by all three teams that are working with him!
Mom and grandma have now been without work for coming up on three weeks and who knows how long after they are released. They have meals to pay for while in the hospital and all the after care that will be needed after released. Anything helps the family and Tino appreciate it. God Bless!
